415 Squadron Crews – AURORA ERA – Greenwood 1981 - 1990

Rather than assign individuals to form a crew for a given mission, Long Range Patrol (LRP) crews are normally built as fixed crews.  Crews are assembled in this manner to maximize readiness.  The premise is that the more a given crew operates together, the more likely they will operate at higher levels of proficiency.  Throughout the Argus era, 415 Squadron operated with fixed line crews.  Despite the desire to keep the crew membership fixed, changes are inevitable due to postings, promotions, courses, illness … etc. 

Crew lists were periodically updated.  As a result, in a given year there may be numerous personnel changes to a given crew.  The crew lists below have been assembled based on limited records available to the 415 Squadron Association.   The initial goal of the Association is to confirm the Crew Captains for each year.  As crew photos and crew lists are acquired, they will be included with this record.  It is expected that this will be an on-going initiative, which will require frequent revision.   Any errors or omissions in the information listed below are not intentional and the 415 Squadron Association would be pleased to receive any input, including additional crew photos and crew lists, which would enhance the accuracy of this record.
